from the pursuit of happyness:- it was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson on the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness . And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue and maybe we can actually never have it. No matter what. How did he know that? it's so true, yet everyone(or at least i do) fall for it, time and time again. believing that happiness lies in my own hands, pursuing what i deem my happiness should be, gaining glimpses of it whilst in the process of reaching my goal... then only to realise at the end of the road that the void in me hasnt really been satisfied. and of course not. simply because a person will never find his own happiness just by pursuing it, as such an action is self-centered in itself--- and selfishness, let's just say, will never be satisfied. real happiness? well, if it isn...
