13oct2007--a night to remember.

this is dedicated to my dearest sammi, the last diva they call her. thank you for not disappointing me tonight. thank you for putting your heart and soul into this performance. i might not understand cantonese, i might not have a clue to half the words you uttered throughout the concert, but i could feel your passion for music, for dancing, i could feel the love you have for the people around you, i could feel your joy, having had been able to do what you love, after a 2 year absence. it's like the whole stage was yours, doing what you do as usual--being yourself. you weren't afraid to laugh at yourself, to dare to be different, to share your struggles and your faith. you were a great singer tonight, sammi. and a great singer isnt just one who has a voice that can melt the hardest hearts, not just one who has all the smooth moves and gets the center of all attention, but rather, the one who inspires. thank you for all that tonight. it would take alot from me to forget such a beautiful moment (:
yes, and for now, just a few pictures to suffice my sammi craving. (love the one of her in a white suit-- i dont think i can find anyone else who will look as hot as her in working clothes.haa.and well, also a moment to remember cos the usually sane shawna went on a overly high mode and took this when she ran to the front in bid to shake sammi's hand(of cos in vain:/) ha.) oh and nice lights.took this when one hour before the concert--see how excited i was?(ps. im usually late for everything haa.so that's a big achievement for me)

haa i wanted to resist doing this but apparently i cant help but post some vids i tooks of my dearest sammi (even though the quality is terrible and it has caused my laptop to hang for the past few times.) (most of the vids i couldnt really catch her cos i was sitting quite faraway, plus im not very tall so i couldnt really take her admist the entire dancing standing crowd in front of me. so.i ended up takin the screen most of the time) ha.but anyway, that doesnt make her any less hotter. anw this is a prematurely cut vid of sammi dancing in her hot white suit cos the cisco guards were chasing me away but anyway--loved what she was doing with her shoulders.how hot is that. oh, and that dancing of hers. it has so much energy in every single move it's almost impossible to imagine that she's already 35 and has been away from the music scene almost 2 years.haa. she's so hot. and yes, check out that sexy alto voice of hers in "green light" with yanzi that never failed to take my breath away. (got some vids from fans online see how ive been spending my time since the concert?)

and with this i conclude my hangover that has costed me an entire night's worth of sleep and energy that i had spent gushing about my dearest sammi to almost everyone i see--though it's also almost everyone who has been giving me raised eyebrows at my apparent loss of head. ahh, liyi i miss you--there's no one else who will understand how i feel but you:/ my bro and my mum were way more interested in the lightstick i got that could change colours.gahh. but oh well, this has to end somewhere sometime before i really go crazy.been spending every waking moment (okay an exaggeration but not very far from the truth i assure you) rewatching the videos of her concert, reading comments on her fansite, arranging my scrapbook of her, smiling myself silly at her pretty pictures and yes reminscing so much about the 13 oct.

a random post because i feel randomly happy

people who know me best probably would have known how much i hate it when i oversleep.it has this strange sort of domino effect on my day and everything just ends up in shambles at the end of it all. it's really a bad emotional habit of mine that im learning to change and to try to entrust every single day to God(despite and in spite of the fact that things dont go the way i planned them to) but yeah, so i was really surprised that today wasnt as bad as i had imagined it to be:) i was supposed to head down for ocf's first bible study at 10 but guess what, i kept snoozing my alarm clock and i guess somewhere along the way, i accidentally pressed the button to switch it off. i ended up waking at 11 instead(am i a pig or what) and realised that the guys were waiting for me for the past half an hour and consequently caused the bible study to start half an hour late:/ gosh i still feel super apologetic and guilty about it. but anyway, on with my story, since i couldnt make it for oc...

the emmient change.

i am officially annoyed at how long it's taking me to change the layout of my blog. so annoyed that im almost tempted to search for my old blog template and restore it to its good old times. i am increasingly amazed and dismayed at my tendency to not carry through what i had originally planned to. --time for change! (though let's just leave the blog in construction till another day.:P)

when words read a million times over but still never a bore.(unlike my exam notes that are boring me to tears)

"When you drop a glass or a plate to the ground it makes a loud crashing sound. When a window shatters, a table leg breaks, or when a picture falls off the wall it makes a noise. But as for your heart, when that breaks, it's completely silent. You would think it's so important that it would make the loudest noise in the whole world, or even have some sort of ceremonious sound like the gong of a cymbal or the ringing of a bell. But it's silent and you almost wish there was a noise to distract you from the pain." --Cecelia Ahern
